Having studied “Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen”, which is a combination of mechanical engineering and economics, Jan-Marc had stints in the natural gas industry and food industry before he started in the automotive industry in 2000.

In 2013 Jan-Marc started working for a manufacturer of testing and measuring equipment for tyres, rims and complete wheels. This was also when he first met John Powath, founder and partner of ibp.

The two had several projects together before they decided in 2021 to concentrate on the tyre industry, especially tyre recycling. Since the sustainable business solutions and ibp offer a broad range of services within the tyre industry.
